Hello everyone, not much on posting but Terra helped me so much I thought I would. Picked up a nice XCR light in 5.56mm and had problems with light hammer strikes with certain lots of ammo. After reading the manual, this website, and trying to figure it out with little success, I contacted Terra direct. She was pleasant to deal with and timely in her responses. We determined that I had a very slight excessive headspace issue, after ruling out all other possibilities.  This was so slight that most lots of ammo would function fine, but some commercial and surplus loads would occasionally not fire, but showed signs of a light hammer strike. I never tried any reloads. Anyway Terra was very patient and helpful and sent me a replacement barrel and bolt to try. She recommended I try swapping the bolt first, which I did. Problem solved. Just ran about 200 rds of the ammo that was most prone to this problem with no malfunctions. All I had to do was swap out the bolt which took about 20 seconds.  I really like this rifle and am now a big fan of Robinson Arms and Terra.  Tip of the hat. Tip of the hat. Thank you very much, Terra!

When a gun has problem with LPS, we tend to forget out of spec chamber sometime... and we tend to blame the ammo.

Most manufacturers would use the excuse "wolf is crap" or "south african is out of spec and not meant to used with our match barrels"  I have seen these excuses from manufacturers... but not RobArms.  They took responsibility and handled the situation.

I think its pretty frightening that a gun get's out with  a  "out of spec chamber", and I'm not getting at Robarm as I have heard it  a lot recently on other forums.  Kel-tec and their RFB according the the RFB forum is having issues.

It makes you wonder about quality control, and the failure to use go/no-go headspace gauges.    Complete sets of rimmed gauges are available in 0.001" increments.
