Almost done with it.  It is a good book and deff shows how fast the laws of society quickly go out the window when the SHTF.
Also picked up Alas Babylon.  Wife thinks I am fukkin looney.  I tell her she is negligent for not at least thinking about being prepared for anything and everything.  If SHTF tomorrow are you prepared?  I only ask because I realize I am not (supplies/gear)

I read it. Then I got the audiobook for my wife when we take road trips.

I thought it was great and posted a thread about it a year ago.

Definitely makes you think...

I've become inclined to tell friends and family that my SHTF collection is for an "earthquake kit". Being in California and with the recent events in Haiti, I get much more understanding looks than if I try to explain flu pandemics, financial collapse, major terror attack, zombies, etc....

Sounds like a good book, I'll have to check it out. Another good read is Wastelands, it's a collection of post apocalyptic tales, some with a sci-fi twist. Purely entertainment reading.

Man, I love my wife.  She's the one telling me we need a better water filter, or that we need to have a month worth of food on hand all the time.

I tell my wife that there's just enough food for me and the boy and that she is on the menu.

A M16 is a fancy city girl, sexy as hell, but a bit moody. It's all good as long as you take her to the clubs and get what she asks. If you cross the? line, its over.

An AK is a naughty girl, all in latex and with a whip begging you to be naughty. The nastier you are the happier she is. Its clear that she wont dump you, you'll have to do that on your own.
The XCR is the perfect blend of both. Sexy as hell but willing to let you beat her and filthy her up and then beg for more.

I liked the book better than Lights Out, although in some ways I think Lights Out was more realistic.

I would really like to see a sequel of what happens AFTER the military finally shows up to restore order.

We live in tornado country, so I tell anyone that stumbles across my preps that its for tornado emergencies, doesn't actually make a lot of sense (a large tornado is going to whip my supplies across the county if it hits my house), especially if they find me cleaning my guns, but it makes most people stop asking questions and move on. I only let family and friends into my basement anyway, so I try to keep opsec as much as I can, but some items are hard to explain away.
