The following is a way to modify an M16/AR15 StripLULA to load cartridges into the XCR 7.62x39 magazines. You will still be able to use the StripLULA to load 5.56 from stripper clips or two loose rounds at a time.
I have had this idea for over a year now; but, did not get motivated until this December.
I went to the range to shoot my XCR and used the 2nd generation C-Product 30 rounders.
They had been left loaded for at least 8 months. I was having feeding problems on every round.
I unloaded them and then reloaded and they worked fine. I have not had problems with these before this.
LESSON LEARNED:
Do not leave magazines loaded for extended periods of time. I think I'm not the first to learn this.

On to the StripLULA.
You will need:
1) 100 grit sand paper.
2) a thin board about 1.5" wide. A paint stick may work if it is flat.
3) razor knife foe cutting the sand paper.
4) Calipers (not absolutely necessary)
5) a helper.
Looking down the StripLULA you will notice that it has 3 steps on each side. The top steps (the ones closest to each other) are what hold onto the 5.56 case.
Process:
1) Have each person hold an end of the stick and hold the sand paper with your thumbs.
2) Sand the top step, evenly, down to the second step. Use the same number of strokes on each step. 20 strokes at a time is good.
3) Now angle the StripLULA on the sand paper and sand until the gap is 0.40 to 0.41 inches. You should check with a real cartridge periodically.
4) Lightly sand the top to clean off any burrs.
5) Enjoy pain free loading of 8 rounds at a time.
Cut away the sand paper as it wears down. The case should contact at the new top "step."
Loading times:
7.62x39 in an 8, 8, 8, 6 pattern took 1 min. 33 sec. Unloading took 30 sec. the unloading tab is just long enough to work.
5.56 using 3 10 round stripper clips took 22 sec. Unloading took 19 sec.
Loading 3 stripper clips took 1 min 19 sec.
NO MORE PAINFUL THUMBS
