Saw that on another forum. Would get on eif the price was right. The adjustable cheek riser is an attarctive option. Besides, Ace makes nice quality products. This is not on their web site yet, so if anybody knows anyhting about them would appreciate the info

Is it me or does it look like it requires a tool to adjust the cheek riser? If it is for an AR it is probably too wide for my taste on an XCR.

I have UBR now and it is beefy too, but no cheek rest. I used to have their SOCOm stock and loved it (on another rifle). The cheek rest probably requires a tool, but if that bothered me I would find a way to modify/replace the screw to make it "toolless"

They've been working on that thing for quite awhile. Saw some prototype pics of it awhile back. Seems pretty solid.

My favorite stock next to the MOE is the ACS. It's similiar to the LMT SOPMOD but half the cost.

I like the shape of the ACS as well. The only problem with this and every other AR stock is that it is thicker than it needs to be for an XCR.Thinner is better because it allows you to get your eye behind the gun better and when folded is thinner as well.Obviously the AR needs to have the buffer tube inside it so thats why they are like that, unfortunately no one is going to make an XCR specific stock that doesn't need a buffer tube.....oh wait.....

True, I don't think the ACS would be very good for the XCR, especially a folding stock variant; I've got one on an DI AR that works nicely.

The problem with AR stocks on an XCR is that you have to contend with the extra length already on the lower plus the added length of the adapter, exaggerated even more so on the folding model. You'd be one big hombre if you shot with the stock all the way extended with one of those! Trying to marry the two together get screwy because of the different operating systems, just like everyone is saying.

I think the current XCR stock is pretty much FAL the way it is. The hinge and locking mechanism is different of course but for looks, they're pretty darn close to me!
I'm willing to bet that someone like Tapco or someone will make a "SCAR" stock for AK's or some such rifle soon that might be made to work on an XCR, if you're so inclined to so such a thing. The AR still demands a pretty big market so convincing a company to make something tacticool without it working on an AR would be hard.

How does that riser even work on an AR? The charging handle would run into it as soon as you elevated it even a 1/4".
Maybe it's not for an AR??....but it's obviously bolted to one in the pic.

Some of the prototype pics show it on an AR too and of course it could be used provided the riser was out of the way. But pretty much everything ACE markets is unisex in that they sell adapters to mount their stuff on darn near everything.

This actually is on their website under prototypes. Looks like a painted/finished model. Looks good, but I'd like to see the whole picture to really judge, does look beefy...and heavy....
