Well, I did it! I just sent the Money Order to my dealer and he'll be ordering me the 6.8 SPC Micro Pistol with the 7.5" barrel.
Hopefully he'll be placing the order with RA very soon.
I'm ordering it with the stock flash hider loose. I'll purchase a flash eliminator seperately.
I am leaning toward the AAC Blackout flash eliminator.
I just can't seem to find if they make it with the 5/8x24 thread pitch. Anyone know?
My second choice (maybe more like 1a and 1b) will be the Smith Enterprises Vortex.

I already have my 90 grain Speer TNT's on order so I'll start loading my test rounds sometime close to New Year.
I'm sure it'll be later in Jan/Feb but I'll post pics, chrono results, impressions, and best loads once I get the pistol in my hands.

Are there any other 6.8 SPC owners out there? Lemme know...

Congratulations!

I think the non-QD Blackout only comes in 1/2x28.  Of course you could always get a suppressor and you could get all the 5/8x24 Blackout mounts you want.  Just sayin'...   Grin

Yes, you are correct! I just called AAC today and they said they only make the non-QD in 1/2. I ordered the Blackout 18t @ 5/8x24 - $99!!!
And thanks, Aziator! Your review of the PDW 6.8 really helped me make my decision. I had my wife watch the video's and she liked them, too!

I'll be working up loads soon as my new brass comes in.
My plans are to work with Reloader 7 and Lilgun with the 90 grain TNT bullets.

I plan on using 100 yards for my accuracy measurements. Though the fulltime optic will be an Eotech 552, I do have a Burris 2-7x handgun scope that'll work nicely to test at 100 yds.

My most accurate loads will then be tried in my 20" Stainless AR-15. It's a SPC II, 1/11, 4 groove too. So hopefully both will like the same recipe!!!

If not, my 20" will keep shooting my 115gr loads (.25 inch at 100 yards - all day @ 2650fps) and my Micro Pistol will stick with the 90gr pills.

Aziator, do you have any more tests planned for the 68 PDW?

More testing coming up sometime this week or next.  I will be doing a side by side comparison between a 9" 6.8 and a 9" 7.62x39.  Plans include chrono of lots of different ammo and accuracy.

As a teaser, I have a factory 6.8 round that I picked up to try.  I fired 3 shots (hadn't chronoed it yet) at 100 yards to see how accuracy was.  This was out of my 11" barrel with an ACOG on top.  The group can easily be covered with a quarter.  I don't have a 16" barrel anymore but I imagine with a decent optic on it and a good rest I could make a jagged hole.  I just fired them to see how far off the POI was from my normal hunting stuff.

Awesome news about the accuracy!
Thanks for doing the testing, too!
Do you own these different calibers or are they supplied to you for testing?

I own the 5.56 and 6.8, the 7.62x39 was supplied for testing.  I should be doing all the shooting on Friday, weather permitting.
