I'm looking at installing/using:
http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/sid=51050/pid=24866/sku/Heavy_Duty_Swivel__each
&
http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/sid=49094/pid=23134/sku/Black_Singlepoint_Sling

What I'm looking for is a good basic single point sling package that will allow me to carry my rifle while at the down range at the range.  It is an open public designated shooting area where if my rifle was left on the shooting/picnic style benches it would be really very  easy for somebody to walk/drive away with especially if I was down range setting up targets.
I have the standard folding stock and was hoping to use the swivel stud in the hole in the bottom of the stock adapter.

I'm just a guy who likes shooting and does not want to loose his new toy to some dirt bag looking for a quick buck.  If you have other recommendations on what would be better, then please post links so I can follow up.

Thanks for your help.

What your are looking at should work just fine.  I prefer a two point to single point convertible sling.  It allows me something to carry the rifle very securely (2 point) and the ability to switch to a single point for movement and shooting.

I use a VCAS from Blue Force Gear and modded it with HK hooks and a ring so I can easily unclip the front and make it a single point.

Thanks for the input.
I was more considered that the quick release swivel was "incorrect" than set on any one sling.  I will take a look at that sling.

When I get home from work I will post you some less expensive alternatives.

Thank you for making the effort to build a cart for me, unfortunately, the cart information is stored in a cookie on your computer and I can not see what is in the cart.
If I could bother you (again) to link or list your individual recommendations, I would appreciate it.

Thank you for doing it again, it worked.

I agree, those are the least expensive sling attachment points I have seen.

Pics please!  I like the sound of this.

Standard QD sling swivel on the XCR short folding stock is in perfect (ambidexterous) position for a single point sling.  (See avatar.)  Unfortunately, I spend most of my day watching other people shoot, but often need my hands free to clear stoppages, adjust sights, etc.  I put enough slack into my sling so that I can sweep it all the way behind me if necessary.

Slings are like holsters - you'll have a cardboard box full of them before you find the "one" that works for you, your gear, how you use the rifle, and how you need to stow the rifle when it's not in your hands.

Hey Tread!

I should have looked harder at Botac.  I have just had some problems with them in the past with not shipping items, shipping the wrong items and then not being too nice about returning them, etc.  Also, charging my credit card weeks prior to shipping my merchandise......

Anyway, I bought a VTAC super padded sling for $44.00 + shipping and 4 hooks, 2 HK's and 2 Mash, for an additional $32.00!

Oh well, I'll try to post some pics and we can all be the judge on how badly I got stuck OR we'll see the differences in the items and decide "if" I got what I paid for OR got the shaft....lol!

The KZ is the same thing as the V-tac but at a cheaper price. It wouldn't shock me if they were the same manufacturer.
