I just purchased an Inova Inforce White LED flashlight yesterday, after mulling it over for a week. I'll try to post some photos this weekend.
It compares favorably with the Gladius in several regards.
$157.00 for the Gladius vs. $159.00 for the Inforce
Gladius 120 Lumens - Inforce 150 Lumens
Both have adjustable lumen output, strobe features and lockout capability to prevent accidental activation. The Gladius has an aluminum body, the Inforce is made of carbon fiber.
Where the Inforce differs from the Gladius is the Inforce can be taken down to a depth of 66 feet, the strobe feature can be left on, it also has a "beacon" mode which is basically a very slow strobe to signal rescuers. When I did a side by side, the Inforce is noticeably brighter then the Gladius and it might be because that my older Gladius is 90 rather then 120 lumens. It is easier to lockout the Inforce then the Gladius, but after owning the Gladius for 18 months I can lock it out with one hand. My two complaints with the Inforce is the small size of the push button which can be attributed to its water resistance, and it seems bigger in my hand then the Gladius, this can be attributed to the attached belt clip.
Which do I like better? The Gladius fits better in my hand and I find it easier to manipulate. The lumen output of the Inforce, its constant on strobe feature and very easy lockout make it the winner for the moment and I think it is a slightly better buy. As an aside I plan on leaving my Gladius on my gun belt and putting the Inforce in my pants flashlight pocket and I will be carrying both on the street.
