Could somebody please list the hex wrench sizes I'll need for my XCR-L in my field tool kit?  Also, any recommendations on a good torque screwdriver to keep on the bench at home?

I tried doing a search for this--no dice. Sorry if it's repeated information.

Get one of these. I have two. One in my kit and one at home. It will cover everything on the XCR except the bolt in the pistol grip because the wrench is too short. But other than that it is great.

1/4 barrel bolt,  1/8 for stock tightening and gap adjust, 5/32 for gas block screw, 9/64 for deflector screw, 6/64 for BHO Foot screw, 5/64 for small selector screw, and 3/32 for stock orientation screw (m4 stockside adapter screw that seats receiver extension (tube)  in place.   Did I miss any???

Hey thanks guys, this is really helpful. Also, does anyone have a good torque screwdriver they particularly like? A lot of the ones I see are either too big to fit in a field kit, or are el-cheapo Chinese crap.

The handle on this is a little big,but I don't think you'll get one much smaller.

Also, check out Lowe's Hardware's tool section.  They have an allen wrench/hex key set made by "KOBALT" that sells for about $6.00 and has ALL the sizes that we need, to the best of my knowledge.  It works great.  It is strong and durable.  The nicest folding hex kit I have ever seen......  NOW, I am looking for a "T-Handle Torque Wrench".  I have a 1/4' on order, that I plan to use to make certain the barrel bolt is down at ?? 120 inch pounds?
Ah.....more goodies to spend Our money on. lol!

200 inch/lbs = 16.66 ft/lbs.

250 inch/lbs = 20.8 ft/lbs.

in case you were wondering.

There was a thread somewhere, that someone mentioned/linked to a harbor freight 3/8 torque wrench.

I just spent half an hour looking for it and couldn't find it again, even using the search.

Anyway, I just bought one today.

http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=807

but it is now on sale at my local branch for $14.99 until, well, I didn't write it down but the 25th or the 28th March 2010.  Check it out ASAP.

Thought you might want to know.

ADD:  You can get Husky 7-piece hex socket and 11 piece torx set adapters from Home depot for about $12-14.
