dmac27:  Fill in you Form1 or Form4 with all the weapon info, your LLC name and address as the maker or transferee, and sign the bottom of the form with your normal signature and print the LLC info under your signature.  That's all you need to do.  Send the duplicate forms with a $200 check to the BATFE and you are good to go.  Just make sure you include a copy of your articles of incorporation or your LLC certificate.

Would that process be the same for FA weapons or only for SBR's?

If I had to do it all over again I would go the Trust route.

MadDog, why would you go the trust route if you were to do it again?  I've set up an LLC before... it was easy as pie.  Maybe a trust is too.  But what are the differences that would make a trust better?

I bought my subgun on a Trust after not being able to get a CLEO signature. I chose the trust over the LLC because with the economy being bad if I lost my job the State might not be willing to pay unemployment if I owned a Corporation because I was "self employed". I am glad I did because I lost my job a month and a half ago and the state ran out of unemployment money it's being paid out of TARP funds.

With a LLC or Corporation you have to renew in certain States and in Florida it is like $250 per year and in addition you may have to do Occupation Tax and Sales taxes depending on the laws that are in effect.  So there is more cost associated versus a Trust.

In my state the renewal of an LLC is only $12 per year (can't even take the family to MickyD's for that) and since I don't have any employees and don't make or sell anything in the LLC, there are no EID or tax implications (so my tax accountant says).  It is a drag to have to keep current at all and it's a hastle if I move to another state, so I would suggest the Trust over the LLC.
