I've had ZERO problems getting anything from the guys at Magpul. Awesome bunch of guys who send us free kit when it comes out.

I went to  www.strapworks.com and ordered the tubular nylon strapping.  I made this exact sling for around $18.00.  I will get you an exact list of items I oredered and pictures, if interested.  All you have to know how to do is stitch a little.  Took 1 1/2 hours from start to finish.  They do not have the exact catches as the MS2 but the catches they do have work just fine.  I ordered 16' of strapping and only used 9' exactly.

I am interested in seeing this as I really like my MS2 and can sew.

Here are the pics of the sling I made myself.

This is a list of the materials I used.  I already had a small spool of waxed thread and leather needle that you use to sew leather, I think it was a few bucks when I bought them from Tandy Leather Factory.  The needle goes through the tubular nylon like butter, so it is very easy to sew.  I used exactly 9' of nylon.  I studied the picture of the MS2 on the Magpul website and just followed it to figure out where all the slides and snaps go, kind of "winged" it.  If you add all of the items below it comes to $11.89, this is before shipping, thread and needle.  It works just like the  Ninja on the MS2 video is demonstrating.

I'm getting in on this one a little late.  Researching, etc.  Bought the ASAP and am trying to find a MS2 w/o the current price gouging on EBAY.  I watched the "Art of Tactical Combat Dymanics II."  Made by none the less Magpul Dymanics.  Some good tactics. insights, and isntructing by the Instructors.  (Okay I gave MAGPUL Plug can I special order a freaking MS2 Sling?  JK, almost, not really.    At the end of the video they were both using for Travis and Chris's weapons a "Special Thanks" list and they had a CDQ Forward Sling Mount (Modified).  I have yet to find a CDQ, but have found CQD:

http://dsgarms.com/index.cfm/product/2163_44/cqd-front-sling-loop-for-rails.cfm

Their definition of "modifeied if is the correct mount, well you're on your own.  If you figure it out please share as I will as well.

That's the only CQD sling mount (besides their receiver sling plate) I know of. Current issue on NAVSPECWAR MK18's.

I just got my MS2 a month ago, but haven't purchased the forward sling mount for two point.  I've seen quite a few different mounts, are there any that definitely don't work with the MS2?  It's possibly in this thread somewhere, but I'm at work and don't have the necessary time to peruse for it.

I think I might order an MS2 tomorrow for an upcoming carbine class.

I've got the Daniel Defense loop pictured three times earlier on this thread.  It works fine.  The fitting about 3 replys up looks similar though has the loop horizontal when on a three or nine o'clock rail whereas the DD is vertical.  I just checked the DD site and can't find it anymore...may have discontinued it.

The Daniel Defense loop was getting pretty scarce when I purchased mine back in May.

I think the DD loop was discontinued.  When I was out there one time I asked about the loop and they pulled up the website for the CQB and said that was an option.

Well, the link works and says it's "in stock".  If you are interested in it, I would say try and buy it. Only way to know for sure unless you call them again and give them "Product #: DD-7300".

Sorry, I should have said that DD discontinued it and recommended the CQB.  It is very likely that a few stores out there still have some in stock.

I just got my MS2 and Ranier ARMS CDQ front sling mount and have both installed.  I can't see what they needed to modify on the CDQ since everything seems to fit fine for my rifle.

My MS2 sling arrived today. Its very well thought out. Adjusts easy, well thought out attachment points. Converts from 1 to 2 point in a snap.

It will get run in class tomorrow.

I love mine, use it as a single point all day out hog hunting, makes carrying the XCR lots easier.
