I've had a couple guys have issues with removing their barrels.  The problem is the barrel lock screw.  More specifically, tightening that screw down when the barrel is not fully set in the receiver.  Make sure you can't wiggle your barrel down another hair's width before you tighten your locking bolt.  If your barrel is not properly in, tightening the bolt will create a lip on the extension, thus preventing you from being able to remove your barrel without extreme measures.

We had one in the shop this week, and had to create a special aluminum rod to tap out the barrel. then we had to polish the lip off of the extension.

So, guys, in the future, just make sure your barrels are locked in all the way.  Some are a tighter fit than others - if in doubt, tap your muzzle with a rubber mallet just to make sure.  Smiley

And make sure the notches in the gas tube are vertical or the tab on the gas block wont allow the barrel to fully seat.

War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things: the decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks nothing worth a war, is worse.... A man who has nothing which he is willing to fight for, nothing which he cares more about than he does about his personal safety, is a miserable creature who has no chance of being free, unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.----John Stuart Mill
